Past Bulls
In our continuous endeavor to broaden the genetic diversity of our herd, we parted ways with two of our finest bulls in 2023. It was tough to bid farewell to such gentle and caring fathers. Mini highland cow for sale
However, it was time to introduce new genetics to complement the baby girls we’ve kept over the years.

About Highland Cattle
El Miniature Highland specializes in breeding show-quality, AHCA registered Highland Cattle. We chose this heritage breed for their resilience, gentle demeanor, maternal instincts, and distinct appearance. We’re thrilled to contribute to the preservation of this ancient breed.
Our current herd sire, WKA Braxton (#59691), possesses remarkable genetics and comes from an exceptional breeder.
Our recent bulls have left a significant genetic legacy at El Miniature Highland, as we have retained select heifers from them in recent years. Big Ridge Voodoo Magic (AHCA #51522) is a renowned, award-winning Highland. He was supported by Big Ridge Fergus (AHCA #57487) and O’ganach (AHCA #60172).
Highlands are an excellent breed for homesteaders and hobby farmers due to their dual-purpose nature, producing low-cholesterol, tender, lean meat and rich, creamy milk. They are not picky eaters and can improve low-quality pastures or clear wooded areas, which can then be converted into shaded pastures for summer. They also make wonderful pets!

We share a deep bond with our animals—not just the Highlands. Beyond our cattle, we foster and rescue a variety of animals in need. Collaborating with our local humane society and rescue groups, we help foster and rehome needy, homeless animals. So far, we have successfully rehomed 24 dogs, 22 cats, one cow, and most recently, a pony!
Currently, our residents (in addition to the Highland cattle) include six rescued dogs, 11 rescued cats, six chickens, six peachicks, and two adult peafowl.

Eco-Friendly Life
El Miniature Highland has made significant investments in solar power, with panel installations totaling over 20kW. This enables us to completely offset our power consumption and sell green energy back to the community, contributing to the reduction of pollutants from electricity production.
A core principle at El Miniature Highland is our commitment to healthy living through environmental health. We use products free of chlorine bleach, ammonia, phosphates, abrasives, formaldehyde, parabens, triclosan, and phthalates in our home, creating a safer environment for our pets and ourselves. By practicing rotational grazing and using manure on our pastures, we reduce the use of chemicals for our cattle. Feel free to email or call us if you want to learn more about healthy living while saving money.
We stay active with farm chores, utilizing our outdoor gym as we walk fence lines, move hay, groom cows, and more. We enjoy eating healthy, natural foods from local producers and supplement our diet with high-quality vitamins from the same company that makes our other chemical-free products.

Hello! We are Nancy & Schuyler Geller. Nice to meet you!
Schuyler’s journey into farming and ranching began when he was four years old, spending the fall of 1954 on a farm in Gibson County, Indiana, while his father underwent initial U.S. Army medical officer training at Ft. Sam Houston. During that time, Schuyler’s mother, older brother, and younger sister stayed with Bob and Anna Epperson for several weeks, creating joyful memories. Although he lived in a rural area as a youth, Schuyler’s experience with a working farm was limited to this period, though he did have horses for a while.
Nancy had a similar childhood experience, spending a few weeks on her aunt and uncle’s working farm in Indiana one summer while her parents were abroad. This period is remembered as the happiest summer of her childhood. The tranquility of the country and the peaceful walks in the woods and beside the lake near her father’s little fishing and hunting cabin instilled in her a dream of country living surrounded by animals.
The 1960s were different times, and children often followed the advice of their parents, striving to fulfill their dreams. Schuyler pursued a career as a physician like his father, spending 10 years in private practice after completing his residency in 1981, followed by a 21-year career in the US Air Force, retiring in 2012. Nancy became a teacher, spending over 30 years in the classroom. It took us a while, but we finally realized we needed to chase our own dreams – to live in the country, have numerous animals, and help others achieve their dreams.
Nancy moved to Northeast Tennessee while Schuyler finished his second year in Afghanistan. She rented a place in Elizabethton and explored over 25 small farms. The plan to retire on 10-15 acres seemed ideal until Nancy sent Schuyler pictures of the “perfect place” she had found on the north side of Clinch Mountain in Hawkins County. This property, “just a bit shy of 90 acres,” featured a cottage, barn, pastures, woods, a swimming/fishing lake, a stock pond, and two spring-fed creeks. The ideal building site for our “dream home” was halfway up the mountain, opening onto a five-acre pasture likely cleared over 100 years ago. Mini highland cow for sale, Buy mini highlander cows
Nancy was already envisioning what has now become Elm Hollow Farm.
